It dawned on me recently that the words of this song are from the 'Do Not Worry' Bible passage in Matthew 6, where Jesus is giving his "Sermon on the Mount".
33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be provided for you. 34 Therefore don’t worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. - Matthew 6, CSB
Would we live lives that are filled with kingdom purpose! To be running towards the kingdom alongside our Christian brothers and sisters, to be kingdom-builders, as we put on righteousness.
I don't know what the future will hold, let alone tomorrow. We've all experienced how quickly life can change given the ongoing events of the Covid pandemic!
Sometimes I feel that all I can really do is to pray, trust God, and then... to simply take the next few (small) steps with whatever wisdom God has given me at the time (which sometimes includes the counsel of friends too) - knowing that God promises to provide, regardless of the outcome.
Would God give us a vision for his kingdom! To God's Glory, Amen.
