- On Friendship - Undeceptions Thoughtful perspectives on 'friendship', which is different to mine given that I am a young adult whereas John has recently farewelled a friend. Makes me think about life-long friendships. (So good that lockdown in Sydney has slowly been lifting btw - it has really been great to start catching up with friends I haven't seen in 1-2+ years!!)
- Following God's will for your life - The Bible Boyz
James gives a good run down on the topic of "God's will". I have lost count of how many times this topic has come up for me in the past 12 months - in books, sermons, conferences, and in plenty of discussions with friends. How good is Romans 8:28 though? I have been drawn back to this Bible verse a heap!
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose [to be] conformed to the image of his Son [i.e. growing in our holiness, godliness, trust & love for God] Romans 8:28-29 NIV

Finished off Crazy Busy. Would recommend! This book has been helpful in thinking through some of the dangers of burrying myself in "busyness" - and this includes my motivations for being busy (e.g. perfectionism, pity, proving myself)
We can't let the "busyness" of the world set our priorities - we must instead intentioanlly set our priorities so to stay gospel-focused!
In my human finiteness I really don't have to pressure myself to perform and do all the good things, because I simply can't do all the good things well!
