
- "Keep praising God no matter how good he treats you". Wow. It is sometimes hard to believe amidst the discouraging moments in life. God is good, all the time. And all the time, God is good.
It is also really awesome to see how a short bible verse / truth can come alive - if I would just believe.
- This 6:23 mins video is packed. It is so true - our unruly feelings and emotions often need 'ordering' under Bible truth. Rely on God and keep doing that one the next thing.

- So true - I am often guilty of looking at an app/website/tool and thinking to myself "I could do a better job!". Foolish me 😂. Sometimes it is just better to be a consumer... like the rest of us...!

Speaking of, I've been connecting with some local youth groups for advice on organising KYCK. This has largely been thanks to relationships I've been establishing with other youth leaders through running our combined youth event these past 3 years.
I've also recently been wondering 'out loud' if a combined youth leader training would be possible too...
Social media usage: continued
Last month I wrote that our youth team ran a topical on 'social media usage'. I have since installed a social media blocker & timer app[1] on my Android phone as a trial, as has another fellow youth leader with another similar app ([1] F-droid and GitHub are for nerds 😅).
It has been an interesting experience... as their core functionality is to make it frustrating and inconvenient to launch the Instagram / Facebook / etc apps by adding an intrusive countdown timer before allowing the app to open. A cooldown period then follows.

It is of course quite annoying when I am trying to meaningfully engage on the social media apps. Although admittedly that's not always the case - it has definitely helped me identify my compulsive / mindless scrolling behaviours... testing continues.
As a social experiment ask the people you interact with to compare phone screen times - many will be surprised!
